This entertaining and educational mock court activity is designed for Victorian Legal Studies students from year 9 to VCE.

The resource comprises a set of statements for a mock trial, together with detailed explanatory notes. The documents are aimed at helping students gain practical insight into the rules of evidence and procedure relevant to the preparation and presentation of a court case. It is intended that students obtain an understanding of the operations of the Victorian court system and the roles played by all those involved in a court case.

This moot trial is now accompanied by comprehensive Teacher Notes, mapped to the Victorian Essentials Learning Standards, written by David Thomson, Senior Teacher at Caulfield Grammar School.
