The State Coroner has a legal responsibility to investigate certain
deaths to find out what happened and why. The coroner's investigation
may assist in preventing other deaths. This booklet, produced in conjunction
with the Victorian State Coroner's Office and the Victorian Institute
of Forensic Medicine, aims to help the family and friends of a person
whose death is reported to the coroner.
