About Law WeekCoordinated in Victoria by Victoria Law Foundation and the Law Institute of Victoria and supported by the City of Melbourne, Law Week reaches out to members of our community with FREE events, inviting discovery of the rich culture of our law and justice system and celebrating the vital role it plays in our society. Law Week is held in the 3rd week of May each year to promote greater understanding of the law within the community. From exploring the art and architecture of Melbourne's grand legal precinct, to learning about human rights or finding out about local laws affecting you and your neighbours, Law Week has something for everyone from Melbourne to the bush! Law Week is an opportunity for the community to learn about the law and for lawyers to become involved in their communities assisting with understanding of the law. Law Week aims:
